This memorable cup comes to us from a private estate on the island of Java and offers complexity and a nice body.
This is a single-washed coffee grown at about 4000 feet and made up of multiple varieties for complexity. Those varieties include Andungasari, Bor Bor, Katrika, and Ateng—varieties that are pretty much exclusive to Java and the islands.
Flavors of papaya, cocoa, and mildly browned sugar are prevalent. There is a mellow sweetness and hints of complex acidity.
