Colombia Gesha Natural Sotara Cauca Finca Juan Martin – HIGHEST SCORING: 91PTS SCAA SCORE!
This Natural Gesha coffee is another superb offering from the Juan Martin family in Sotara, Colombia.  Produced at over 6000 feet above sea level, this is a naturally processed Gesha that provides a distinct, nuanced and unforgettable cup. Gesha coffees are known for their heightened flavors and this cup may actually remind some of a “Cherry Topped Sundae!”

Expect intense floral and jasmine perfumes combined with flavors and notes of cherry, spices, chocolate and a hint of lime citrus. Another unforgettable cup with a creamy mouthfeel and a smooth sweetness.  Amazing.

Colombia Sidra Natural Sotara Cauca Finca Juan Martin – HIGHEST SCORING: 89PTS SCAA SCORE!
This is, simply, one of the finest coffees available on the market this season and is comprised of a single variety: Sidra. Produced by the Juan Martin family in Sotara of the Cauca region, this coffee is grown at over 6000 feet above sea level and natural processed.

This cup is full of flavors, hints and nuances found in no other. You will find strong flavors of peach and strawberry along with notes of orange and hints and perfumes of jasmine and rose, all with a sweet, syrupy mouthfeel. Amazing.

Colombia Ildefonso Reyes Silva Sotara Cauca Best Cup Finalist
This fabulous cup of coffee is a 2022 Best of Cup Finalist and is simply outstanding. Congratulations to the Silva farm!

The coffee is a washed lot and Sotara is a Catimor-like varietal hybrid of Colombia released in the mid ’80’s. The Silva farm is located in the Cauca region and this coffee is grown well over 5000 feet above sea level with less than 1000 pounds produced annually.

In this memorable cup you will find a decent body and sweet sugary taste with some tangy, but mild, acidity along with notes of caramel apple and flavors of strawberry.

Costa Rica Tarrazu Black Honey Finca La Naciente
This outstanding coffee comes to us from private grower, Sol Naciente, on the pacific slopes of the Talamanca Mountains. The Naciente farm is considered to be experts in Honey Processing of coffee, and the Black Honey process used here is the most labor intensive of all. It shows in the cup! Varietals utilized are only two, Catuai and Caturra, and both are grown over 5000 feet above sea level.

In this absolutely amazing cup you will immediately notice a heavy body with a coffee cherry mouth-feel, followed by milk chocolate and strawberries and an overall sweet finish.

Costa Rica Tarrazu SHB White Honey – La Loma Farm
This truly outstanding micro-lot coffee comes to us from the farm of Hector Bonilla located in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. A single variety – Cataui – was grown at 5500-6000 feet and honey processed to produce this amazing coffee.

This is a juicy cup offering subtle hints of kiwi, notes of key lime and a sweet finish with toffee undertones.

Guatemala Huehuetenango FTO Guaya’b Cooperative
Asociación Civil Guaya’b is a coffee cooperative with 330 members. It is located in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. The Guaya’b co-op was founded in 1998 and began selling FTO coffees in 2000. Varietals grown include Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra and Typica. This high quality specialty coffee has Smithsonian Migratory Bird Certification, FLO Fairtrade certification and Organic certification.

This excellent cup presents a solid body and dark chocolate base. Tones of toffee, almond and honey are present with a sweet lemon zest tang to finish.

Honduras Finca La Cueva Parainema Natural
This high scoring, sweet, “jammy” cup comes to us from the farm of Roger Dominguez in the Marcala region.

This lot is a blend of Bourbon, Catuai, and Caturra and has been naturally processed. Finca La Cueva is located at 4500 feet above seal level and produces a few hectares of coffee annually using only heirloom varieties, such as those mentioned.

Expect a balanced cup that is sweet and smooth with a touch of fruity acidity that brings grape jelly to mind, along with notes and flavors of cherry and cocoa. Outstanding!

Java Blue Batavia Preangar West Java Grd 1 Wet Hulled
Here, with this delicious cup of “java” from Java, we find the classic cup of coffee from one of the earliest producers in the world.

This lot is an estate coffee, grown at 4000-5000 feet above sea level, that comes to us from the Preangar region of West Java. Preangar is the largest area of production on the island and offers some of the best coffee from Java.

As with most Indonesian coffees, you can expect to find a great body along with earthy cocoa and chocolate tones, flavors of coffee cherry and a hint of lime at the finish. A beautiful cup!
