This is a delicious Fair Trade Organic coffee from the Cajamarca region brought to us by well-known cupper and Lima Co-op President, Rony Lavan.
Rony has made his career by seeking out and providing the very best small producer coffees found in Peru. This one really shines and is a simple blend of 4 classic varietals: Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, and Typica. This is a washed coffee, meaning the beans were picked and de-pulped within 24 hours. Drying takes place in natural patios or parabolic dryers over 7-14 days.
This is a memorable cup with very good body. The coffee provides great crema and offers a smooth mouthfeel and cocoa base. Notes of amaretto and a hint of citrus combine with a mild sweetness to make this coffee an all-out favorite.
