This coffee comes to us from a few hundred farmers near the small town of Coatepec, Mexico near Veracruz. Coatepec is a classic Mexican town with a lively city center and iconic church drawing crowds to the town square.
Coatepec is sometimes referred to as the “Capital of coffee in Mexico.” This is mainly due to the types that are grown and the excellent climate and geography that produce very fine looking and tasting coffee.
There are actually many similar regions in Mexico producing great coffees.
This cup is sensational! Expect a big body and deep, rich coffee with a chocolate base. As the cup cools hints of nut and citrus appear, along with slight hints of molasses adding to the rich chocolate base.
