Java is the world’s 13th largest island and the most populated island in the world. Java was formed entirely from volcanic eruptions and has been a center of trade for at least 1500 years.
Coffee was introduced to Indonesia by the Dutch in the late 17th century and Java was the first locale. The island of Java is another one of the few places in the world that naturally exhibits almost perfect conditions for growing coffee including the soil, altitude, climate, water and biodiversity.
This delicious lot is brought to us by Wononsobow Estate in the central highlands buying from small farmer holders. Expect a rich pleasant cup with great mouthfeel, heavy body and notes of citrus, nut and herb flavors.
