This outstanding cup of coffee is brought to us by the Tijuco Preto farm in the Carmo De Minas region of Brazil northwest of Rio de Janeiro. The Tijuco Preto farm is a family farm owned by Italian immigrants that has been producing coffee since 1928.

The farm size is 78 hectares and has recently been run by Jose Favaro, who is the grandson of one of the original founders. In addition to coffee the farm produces many different vegetables and strives to balance the unique environment by setting aside wood and water reserve areas.
